Registrations were officially closed when the number oif registered hashers reached 6000.

Flights

Tiger Airways has cheap direct flights between Singapore and Chiang Mai.
Silk Air also has direct flights between Singapore and Chiang Mai.
You can book flights on several different airlines to connect through Bangkok, but the flights between Bangkok and Chiang Mai are very full around the Interhash dates, and the cost is much higher than the direct flights.

Hotels

Registration will be at the Empress Hotel from Wednesday 25th October through Saturday 28th October. However, rooms at the Empress have been fully booked already.

The Lanna Palace is owned by the family of a hasher who is the president of the Northern Chapter of the Thai Hotels Association (THA). He will give us special hash rates of 1500 Baht per night for a single room and 1700 Baht per night for twin sharing, including American breakfast. The hotel is a two-minute walk from the Empress Hotel, and a twenty-minute walk from the Hash Bar. He has blocked 25 rooms for us.

He also suggested a three-star hotel called the Royal Peninsula which is offering a hash rate of 900 Baht per night (including American breakfast). I have not stayed there before, but I have been told that it is relatively new. It is only a ten-minute walk from the Hash Bar, but is probably a thirty-minute walk to the Empress Hotel.

Ichibawasan says that the Libra Guesthouse is clean and nice.

Ex-Seletar hashman Bob Wu runs the Same Same Cafe & Lodge & Guesthouse in Chiang Mai. This will be the headquarters for the Singapore bid for Interhash 2008. Email Bob to book rooms at the guesthouse.

Programme

Friday 11 August
There will be a happy hour welcome party at the Paradise hotel poolside..6 pm until 9 pm or until the beers run out. The organizers have arranged for finger food. After 9 pm it is free and easy. Hashmen can bring along their unmentionables if they wish for the poolside party.

Saturday 12 August
The buses will leave Paradise hotel from 2.30pm onwards for the runsite. The run starts at 4 pm sharp....and Ondown will be at runsite...party will finish at 11pm at runsite, and head back to hotel...after which it is free and easy for all.

Sunday 13 August
After breakfast, there will be games and beer at the Paradise poolside. After some light lunch, the Malaysians will f*** off for home, leaving the Seletar boys to manage on our own until flight departure.

Flights

Book cheap flights on Tiger Airways.
The Interhash Sec recommends flight TR138 arriving in Hatyai at 21:10 on the Friday the 11th, and flight TR139 leaving Hatyai at 21:10 on Sunday the 13th.

Airport transfer – the organizers have arranged for transportation to Hatyai Paradise on all three days (9 August through 11 August) and will meet you at the airport on arrival of Tiger flight TR138 at 21:10.
