ANTA can also arrange for airport greeting service upon your arrival, transportation from Singapore's Changi International Airport to the hotels listed above, and transportation from the hotels to the airport for your departure. For people arriving at Changi Airport on 25th September and departing from Changi Airport on 27th September, the two-way transportation cost per person will be S$24. For people arriving or departing on other dates, the two-way transportation cost per person will be S$40, and there must be a minimum of two people per car. Also, please note that there will be an additional charge of S$15 per person per way if the arrival or departure pick-up is between 11 PM and 7 AM. If you wish to take advantage of ANTA's greeting service and airport transportation, please book in advance with ANTA directly, and payment of the transportation charges above should be made directly to ANTA Holidays Pte. Ltd. Please note that public transportation is readily available at Changi Airport (taxis, public buses and Airbus shuttle-bus service). The taxi fare from the airport to the hotels listed above would be approximately S$15 to S$20 per taxi; please be aware that taxis from the airport charge a S$3 surcharge in addition to the amount shown on the taxi meter. The Airbus shuttles take you directly to most hotels for just $5 per person; Route 1 stops at the Marriott Hotel, and Route 2 stops at the Carlton Hotel and Grand Central Hotel. For more information on getting to and from Changi Airport, see Changi's Getting To & From The Airport web page or Asia Travel's How To Get From The Airport web page.
Buses will go to Echo Valley from the Carlton Hotel, the Grand Central Hotel, the New Park Hotel and the carpark next to the Newton Circus food centre from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM on Friday (September 25th), 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM on Saturday (September 26th) and 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM on Sunday (September 27th). Buses will also take you back from Echo Valley to the Carlton Hotel, the Grand Central Hotel, the New Park Hotel and Newton Circus. See the shuttle bus schedule for more details. Bus passengers are not required to show the registration wristband, so late registrants can take the bus to Echo Valley and register at the site.
The Marriott Hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the bus pick-up and drop-off point at Newton Circus.
If you miss the buses, you can easily take a taxi to Echo Valley. Taxi drivers will not know the name "Echo Valley", but you can tell the driver "Dairy Farm Road" and you will see our banners when you get there. The taxi fare from most hotels to Dairy Farm Road would only be about US$6 or US$7.
We have made additional arrangements with five more hotels. Contact these hotels directly (not ANTA Holidays) and mention the "Hash House Harriers' 1000th Run" to be eligible for the rates.
Taxis from the airport to these five hotels would be approximately S$15 to S$20 per taxi, including the S$3 airport surcharge. The Airbus shuttles take you from the airport directly to Hotel Asia (Route 1) and the Excelsior and the Peninsula (Route 2) for S$5 per person.
The Excelsior and the Peninsula are about a 15 minute walk from the Carlton. Hotel Asia is about a 5 minute walk from the Newton MRT station.
For cheaper accomodations, try Hotel 81. The room rates at this chain of "no-frills" hotels range from S$59 upwards. Contact Hotel 81 directly, or make your reservation online. The Seletar Hash House Harriers currently do not plan to provide bus transportation to and from Hotel 81 locations, although we may consider adding buses if there are enough hashers registered at Hotel 81 locations to justify it. The Hotel 81 locations are not within walking distance of the Seletar bus pick-up points at the New Park and Carlton Hotels, but you can easily walk to the Kallang or Aljunied MRT subway stations and ride three or four stops to the City Hall MRT station, which is just opposite the Carlton Hotel.

Check out SIA's web pages for the promotion terms and conditions and hotel names and rates (with links to these hotels' web pages). This promotion is valid until 30 September 1998.
